Chingona Shoutout: Kim Radtke

At Queen de mi Corazón we praise, celebrate, and love Chingonas every day. Still, sometimes we like to shine a brighter spotlight on Latinas, absolutely rocking it. We want to share their awesomeness with you.

Meet Kim Radtke; she is a badass fitness coach and business professional, and from what we've heard, she is a rockstar of a manager. She is helping transform the lives of folks in her community by building roads and opportunities for a healthier, empowered lifestyle.

Kim is the Regional Director of FitTheorem in the Lynnwood and Everett areas. Her skills and positive attitude continue motivating people to continue their kickboxing journey. Whether you are a newcomer to kickboxing or a seasoned member, she will welcome you with genuine smiles and encourage you to set, achieve, and succeed in your goals.

She is rocking it, balancing life as a badass kickboxer, career woman, and new mama, all with the most fabulous lashes.

We had the opportunity to talk with her recently and asked her a couple of real questions to get to know her a little better and share with you a deeper glance at the Chingona behind those gloves.

Where are you from?

I was born in El Monte, California, and grew up in Everett, Washington. I am a first-generation Mexican-American.

What's something you'd always find in your car?

You will always find sunglasses in my car; the visor is too high up for me. lol

What's your go-to emoji?

The monkey covering eyes: 🙈

To someone who has never been to your hometown/home country, what place would you recommend they visit for the first time?

When I am in Cali, I MUST stop at the taco carts on the street. Or the fruit carts. It's a Cali thing for sure; it's more authentic and to die for! What I love about the LA area is its connection to Mexican roots. You will see the Latinx culture all around, and you know that you are in for a good time.

What is something you do to practice self-care?

Workout. A lot. Be it Kickboxing, weightlifting, or yoga, It's one hour I can improve my body and discipline, and it keeps me sane! Something JUST for me.

What past accomplishment(s) made you feel very Chingona?

I opened up two (FitTheorem) locations in the PNW. Helping to transform over 1000 lives. Our Lynnwood location is coming up on 6 years, and our Everett location is coming up on 3. The fact that the Everett location is 3 miles away from my high school makes me proud. I am able to make a change in the community that helped shape who I am today. I believe we empower women, Latinas, and moms by putting our best foot forward and changing the world around us.

What piece of advice would you like to give to young Kim?

Do your absolute best, and the universe will take care of the rest. And practice your Spanish :)

Kim, you are such a phenomenal woman, sharing your positive energy and attitude and using your fuel to help transform the lives of those around you. Thank you for participating in this with us. May your success continue, and your light continues to shine bright!

Stay tuned to her badassery and find out more about her work on Instagram @kimball_slice
